Honors

He earned the CBS/Chevrolet Game MVP honors in the first round win over Portland State. He scored 13 points to go with three assists and a career-high tying four steals.

In the semifinals of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off, he hit the buzzer-beater from halfcourt that lifted Xavier to the thrilling come-from-behind overtime win over Virginia Tech. This shot made the top spot on ESPN SportsCenter's "Top 10" list and it was the "Call of the Day"

2008-2009

He started the last 11 games at point guard. He averaged 7.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and a 2.73-to-1.00 assist-to-turnover ratio for those starts.

2007-2008

He made one of the biggest shots of career in the NCAA Tournament when he nailed a three-pointer against Georgia that put XU ahead for good at 52-49 with 7:21 left. He made his first collegiate start in the regular season finale against Richmond.

High School

He is the all-time record holder for most points (2,423), rebounds (1,014), assists (502), and steals (312). McClain High School had a 85-12 record during his four-year career, including three South Central Ohio League Championships, four Sectional Championships, and two District Championships. He averaged 26.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 3.6 steals a game as a senior, while leading McClain to a 23-1 record. He was First Team All-Ohio as a sophomore, junior, and senior. He was AP First Team All-District four years in a row, including AP District Player of the Year three times.
