He led the team in blocked shots with 1.26 per game. He was named rookie of the week on 1-25-09. This marked the first time a Musketeer won that honor since Stanley Burrell in 2004-2005.

International Success

In this past June, he played with the 12-member USA Elite National U19 Team in a tournament against seven other countries. He was the only member of the U.S. team to be honored on the five-member All-Tournament Team.

High School

At Perry High School he was a four year starter. He finished his career at Perry second in school history in scoring and first in both rebounding and blocked shots. In the 2007-08 Sporting News preseason basketball magazine, he was listed as a high honorable mention prep All-American and was No. 42 in the final Rivals.com rankings.
