Played at Indiana University before coaching controversey made him decide to transfer to Xavier after the season. He played in 30 games starting 8 times. He finished seventh among Big Ten Conference freshmen in scoring at 9.7 ppg.
During his senior season, a leg injury forced him to miss his senior year (2005-06) at Detroit's Communication and Media Arts High School. He was an All-State Class "C" performer and helped his team to a 2005 district championship.
