Pilot-

McKinley High School's spanish teacher Will Schuester takes over Glee Club also known as "New Directions". Will thinks that he can once again make the Glee Club great! The group of kids consist of Rachel Berry, who is focused on her singing career: Kurt Hummel who is a soprano and dressed very well,but not like most other guys: Artie Abrams who is in a wheel-chair, but a verytalented Guitar player: Mercedes Jones, a diva who refuses to sing back-up" and Tina Cohen-Chang, and Asian American goth with a speech impediment.The challenge is set with this group of kids who can't even sing in sync.
Will is very focused on making the Glee Club better all around so he recruits the star football player Finn Hudson, who secretly has a passion for singing.
The Glee Club ends up improving majorly but when Will finds out that his wife is pregnant he has to take up a new better-paying job. The Glee Club decided that they would continue on and direct their own number, but when they preform Will realizes thatthey are going to need him, so he returns to Glee.

Showmance-

Will pushes the Glee Club to preform in front of the school for the first time. He wants them to sing Disco, but they'd rather sing a song that the rest of the sutdents might find appealing.
Meanwhile behind the scenes there is a "new relationship" developing between Rachel and Finn. While Rachel helps Finn with his singing they kiss. Finn pulls away though because he remebers he has a girlfriend who is the head cheerleader of the Cheerios.Finn's girlfriend Quinn realizes that he has feelings for Rachel and decides that she will also join Glee to keep an eye on them.The cheerleading coach Sue decides this is a good idea and "enlists" Quinn and 2 other Cheerios to be spies.
Will is forced tobuy a new house to make his wife happy, that he knows they can not afford, so he takes up the second job of McKinley High Schools nighttime Janitor, Emma the school counselor decides to help him out so she can spend more time with him.
Terri goes back to the doctor and is told she isn't pregnant. She decides to keep the secret from Will.
