The Fray's popularity and spots on the top charts increased as their songs have appeared on many popluar television shows. "How to Save a Life" was featured during a second season episode of Grey's Anatomy, and then on a fifth season episode of Scrubs, both in 2006."How to Save a Life", "Look After You", "You Found Me" and "Never Say Never" have been featured on the show One Tree Hill. Cold Case also played "How to Save a Life, " and "Look After You" was also featured in the 2008 movie Jumper as well as the first episode of the TV Series Journeyman. Despite not having been originally released as a single, "How to Save a Life" was the main advertising promotion of the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy in 2006.
