Everyone Makes Mistakes
Another theme for “The Secret Life Of The American Teenager,” is everyone makes mistakes. This is a major theme shown through out the whole show, which provides evidence that no one is perfect, even if you think they are.
The main character, Amy, gets judged a great bit, because she is a pregnant teen. This shows how judgmental everybody is. If you don’t know the person, don’t judge them. Also, Grace, another main character, is a shy girl, but once her dad is killed in an accident, she thinks that she caused it by disappointing her dad, even though it was a plane crash that had nothing to do with her. This shows that everyone can judge themselves and others.
Many people, today, make comments about others before they even know the person. This is evidence that everyone makes mistakes. Lastly, even if the characters do make a mistake in their lives, they just move on with their lives and deal with what is to come, and let the past be. This is always an important life lesson to help you through life, helping them to move on.
