Manchester Orchestra started out in Atlanta, Georgia where Hull started writing songs and gaining fans during his junior year. He decided to home school himself so he could focus more on his music making during his senior year. Missing out on senior pranks and final proms, he chose to loose himself in his writing. He began creating characters and stories to make up Manchester Orchestra's debut. After the band started forming, Hull's songwriting begam to change. His friendship between his band members made their group begin to take a new flight.
