He has an overall record of 470-340. Before moving to Boston Terry was the manager of the Philadelphia Phillies from 1997-2000.

Ed Barrow was the last manager of the Red Sox to win the world series before Terry Francona. Ed Barrow was a dominant manger who had a record of 416-213. Ed was elected into the Hall of Fame in 1953.
