	Robert Smith	Lead singer of The Cure, a band his brother was interested in. Conor loved the sound of Smith's voice.
	Simon Joyner	Songwriter who wrote "Burn Rubber" which Bright Eyes covered on the "Take It Easy" single.
	Elliott Smith	Oberst said that Elliot wrote the "sweetest, saddest, most gentle songs." He liked listening to his songs when he had no one else to talk to.
	Daniel Johnston	Oberst was greatly influenced by Johnston and did a cover of "Devil Town" after his song.
