Early Years

Conor was born on February 15, 1980 in Omaha, Nebraska. He grew up with two older brothers, Justin Oberst and Matthew Oberst Jr. Conor's mother says that he's been banging on a piano since the age of two. His brother, Matt, and his father were also musicians so they began teacher Conor how to play guitar when he was just 10 years old. He started writing songs when he only knew two cords.
