Tim McGraw started listening to country, pop, rock, and R & B at a young age. He attended Northeast Louisiana University on a baseball scholarship. While he was attending college he started to play the guitar to accompany his singing. He dropped out of school to go to Nashville. He sang in bars around Nashville until he landed a deal in 1992 and produced a hit album in 1993. Since then he has won 3 Grammys, 14 AMCA, 11 Country Music Association Awards, and 10 American Music Awards. He has had 30 number one singles, and has sold over 40 million albums.
