Welcome to the Hall of FameMuhammad Ali retired from boxing in the year 1984 after becoming diagnosed with Parkinsons disease. He is still seen as a public figure who participates in many charitable events. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990. He has received many high honors and he received the Presidential Medal of freedom from President George W. Bush on November 9th, 2005. He now lives in retirement with his wife. The city of Louisville honored him when they built the Ali center in down town Louisville. The building shows all of Ali's achievements and awards that he has earned in his lifetime. He truly was the Champion in and out of the Ring.
