Braff was born April 6, 1975 in South Orange, New Jersey. During highschool, Braff worked on his school's television station. Braff went to Northwestern University in Illinois, and graduated with a BA in film. Braff has worked as a writer, director, and actor. He worked as a waitor until he hit his big break, being casted on Scrubs.
