The Colbert Report can be seen on weeknights on Comedy Central at 11:30 PM, following The Daily Show with John Stewart. Reruns of the previous night's show are on at 7:30.

Here are some of the common segments that appear on the show:
The Word
During The Word, Colbert starts with a single word or phrase, displayed on the screen. He then discusses the significance of the word or phrase, while sarcastic comments are displayed on the screen where the original word was being displayed. This is one of the most common segments on the show.
Tip of the Hat/Wag of the Finger
In this pretty self-explanatory segment, Colbert takes time to congratulate (Tip of the Hat) and chastise (Wag of the Finger) certain people or groups. He often chooses topics based on something they said about him or his show, and occasionally gives a Tip of the Hat to himself. Though not as common as The Word, Tip/Wag is well known by fans of The Colbert Report.
Threat Down
Colbert counts down the most imminent threats to the nation during this segment. Bears almost always have a spot on the list, stemming from his (partially) fictional, fear of them. Anything that threatens his happiness usually takes precedence over something that is an actual threat to America, due to his selfishness.
Formidable Opponent
During this segment, two cameras are pointed at Colbert from different angles. Colbert then proceeds to have a debate with himself, switching between his character and a more realistic version of himself. Each time he switches characters, the camera angle changes, making it appear as if they are looking at each other. A lot of the humor in this segment comes from the idea that the only man Colbert sees as a "formidable opponent" is himself.
Guests
The Colbert Report almost always ends with an interview with some guest. He has had hundreds of guests on his show. Some of them were political figures, some authors, and some musical artists. Bands such as The Flaming Lips, Rush, and Movits!, a Swedish swing hip-hop jazz band, have all appeared and performed on the Colbert Report.
