Kimbo's previous jobs before training MMA were a bouncer at a strip club and a bodyguard. Kimbo was charged for carrying a concealed weapon in 2002 and shortly sfter he began his street fights. He earned the nickname slice after his first taped street fight in which he left a large cut in his opponent's right eye, and Kimbo was his popular childhood nickname. The picture above is one of the many street fights in which he was involved. The only lost fight he had on Tape was against a former Boston police officer who is also training MMA. That fight they had propelled both men into the MMA spotlight.
